The Change is in You!

I truly believe that our health and the health of our families depends greatly on the way we take care of ourselves from the inside out and from the outside in.

It has been proven and documented that all the chemicals used in the products that we use every day contribute to many health problems and illnesses such as cancer, infertility, asthma, ADD, Alzheimer and others.

Not so long ago I started my quest of turning my house green, in the process I have tried countless products, many of them couldn't do the task and the ones that could, I had to use huge amounts of the product, they had the smell of a rotten flower garden or were really overpriced.

A little bit over 2 months ago a good friend told me about Melaleuca, as an internet savvy person, I went to Google and tried to look for some information, I saw their products and they seem interesting but I was not ready to be a member if I had to experiment again with green products that don't work. But I trusted Tami, she is a very good friend and would not lie to me. So, I joined Melaleuca and placed my first order, to my surprise the shampoo and conditioner had a very nice scent and my girls loved how their hair was soft after using them. The toothpolish is amazing and it made me realize how much I don't like Tom's of Maine, again my girls took it. My girls loved their vitamins, which are more absorbable than the ones they used to take.

To my surprise, I received a nice Kit with a CD, 2 catalogs (one for their cosmetics), a membership guide and even a magazine! I never got anything from Seventh Generation, Alba Botanica, Sun & Earth, Jason or Method even though I spend a reasonable amount of money with them!! Did I even mentioned that on my second month and for 5 months I get $20 to spend on free products?? I never got that from any of the other green companies but Melaleuca is so confident in the quality of their products that they give you a total of $100 to try different products totally FREE!

So I placed my second order and the products were phenomenal, the laundry detergent finally worked and left my clothes smelling clean and fresh with biodegradable cleaners! The sunblock worked wonderfully in Cancun and never hurt my baby's delicate skin. My girls were at the pool every day but they never peeled off at our return! And when their skin look dried and flaky and no lotion could do the work, I tried Renew and it healed in 2 days.

The best part is that every time I buy this products I help Tami and her mom Tonii and some other nice people I know! I am not giving my money to Publix, Walmart or Costco.

Melaleuca does not advertise, even thought they have been around for 26 years! All that money saved they give it to their customers when they pass the good news about the company. So after trying the products and falling in love with them, I did, I did pass the voice and my organization has grown to 17 people! 17 homes that are using better products that are safer and reducing the amount of plastics in our landfills. Isn't that beautiful?

Melaleuca offers 100% satisfaction guarantee, they will completely refund or exchange a product if you are not 100% satisfied even on empty bottles!! I don't know too many companies that do that.
Want to try some of their products? It is very simple. Set up an account as  Preferred Customer and order online, over the phone or via fax directly with them. If you are not convinced your membership is refundable and the products are guaranteed. Bottom line: There is no risk!

You can be just a customer or refer people from time to time, the choice is yours!! Find out more about their products HERE

And feel free to ask me for more information!! The change to a safer home and healthier lifestyle is in you!

E-commerce is Baby Friendly!!

As most of you know, I have a 3 month old baby. He decided to come to this world 6 weeks before his scheduled time and he was in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) for 26 long days. I usually shop online but for some reason I decided to go to babies R Us with my girls to buy some items I still needed for the baby and start organizing everything for his arrival. I guess going to a brick and mortar store wasn't such a good idea as my water broke while shopping, of course I left the cart with everything it had and I had to rush to the hospital.

I had to split in two and juggle my time between my 2 girls and their daily activities, house work, office work at KenRustAudio and the hospital. The hours in a day just were not enough. Luckily, after a few years involved with E-commerce I had enough knowledge to simplify my life during such a stressful time. While at the hospital I was able to order clothing, diapers, wipes, pacifiers, lotion, shampoo even the stroller! This allowed  me to spend more time at the NICU. I also bought things we needed at home such as shampoos, lotions, snacks, protein bars, vitamins and more. I used a 20% off coupon and had the stroller shipped for free plus didn't pay tax and I got 4% back in cash at BabyViva so at the end I payed much less than any of the retailer stores that had the Chicco stroller that I wanted. That was a smart move!

I have a 8-year-old and a 6-year-old and when I had them I didn't know all the things you can order online. I remember having to drag them to Wal-Mart to buy what we needed and spend over 2 hours walking around that superstore with a toddled and a baby. That didn't include the horrible trip on a super hot car during summer in South Florida.

Today, I can happily say that besides I have saved so much in diapers, toiletries, cleaning supplies and school/office supplies using Non-Tax stores such as Drugstore.com, my life is much easier. I just go to my local grocery store to get dairy, produce and food supplies and I am in and out in a flash!

I discovered a website that is absolutely free and will pay you cash back for all your purchases. It is free to register and it is a smarter way to shop. I has links to over 4 thousands of the biggest names in retail so basically every store you need is there. And the best part is that it has a great search technology where you can search for an specific item and see the store that sells it for less and compare the cash back between stores, helping me save even more. It is a smarter way to shop, it is shopping with benefits!

After all, U.S. online sales expected to grow approximately 44%, close to $250 billion dollars by 2014, accounting for 8% of all retail sales. (Forrester Research). Shop smarter and save precious time and money!

Save Money with a Click

At this point we are all aware on how much online shopping has grown over the past few year. Just this last Holiday season, online shopping exceeded the expectations of the experts!

After all, as we continue to shop online we realize the convenience of having the items you need shipped to your door. Not only it saves you time and hassle but also money. When we shop online we can compare in a matter of seconds the retail price of a specific product, something that would require a lot of time and probably gas if we want to visit all these retailers in person to compare prices.

Over the last 2 years I have saved tremendously just by shopping from home starting with the fact that I try to buy from retailers that won't charge me State Tax (here in Miami-Dade we pay 7% tax). Just with that imagine how much I saved yearly on products I needed to buy anyway (i.e. shampoo, lotions, cleaning products, clothing, electronics and more)

And it doesn't end there, I have saved an incredible amount of money on gasoline! If you consider that the closest Walmart is about 5 miles away from my home, you can imagine how much I saved in a year since I stopped going to that store. Today, I just go to my closest grocery store for produce, dairy and perishables the rest is shipped to my doorsteps.

Another important fact to consider is the time saved. As a mother of 3 and business owner I have to find ways to save as much time as possible so I can manage to run the business, run my house and manage to spend time with my girls after school is over.  Before I used to spend 1 hours just to go to Petco and buy supplies for my rabbits. Today I discovered that I can order online, have free shipping and takes me 5 minutes to put it away. The same with stores such as Toys R Us, Target, Macys. The amount of time driving, finding a place to park, getting kids in and out of the car, finding the item, making a line to pay and drive back home was more than I could imagine. My productive week was reduced to nothing as I spent all my time from store to store.

As retailers thrive to increase their sales, they have found that affiliate marketing is the best ways to drive traffic to their websites and get new customers. How does this work? They allow people to put links on their websites with the logo of the retailer so if for example you are reading a blog or checking the daily news and you see the logo of Walmart and you click there, you go directly to the retailer's website and when people buy something there, the owner of the website get's a % of the sale as a commission.

But what if you can make some money for all your purchases without having to worry about creating links, agreements, designing a website and tracking the sales? What if you could register for free and have a site built and fully operational for you in less than 24 hours? If 2-3 extra clicks could save you up to 40% in cash back wouldn't you do it? What if you could find your favorite charity or non-profit organization and donate part or all of your rewards?

Simplifying People's Lives

November is one of my favorite months of the year. Not only the weather is beautiful and we move our clocks back one hour. But it is the beginning of the Holiday Season.

Time to make plans for Thanksgiving, time to cook delicious food and of course time to start buying our Christmas presents!

We all know that after Thanksgiving the shopping season officially begins with the worldwide known Black Friday. And as must of us know by now, it has turned into an impossible mission making it more a torture than a happy shopping day. But what a lot of people don't know yet, is that retailers offer amazing discounts for online shoppers during this day too as well as on the Monday following Thanksgiving, better known as Cyber Monday.

As E-commerce evolves and reaches more households every year, retailers have created strategic marketing plans to attract more customers. They give a way discount coupon codes to be used during checkout and Black Friday is one of the busiest online shopping days now.

Many shopping portals offer rebates when customer link to other retailers and make a purchase, better known as affiliate marketing. Lately I have shopped smarter on a site with an advanced Search Technology that looks for the best price among their retailers allowing customer to compare in seconds the best price as well as the percentage of cash back they can receive from the retailer if they make the purchase. It also has a Green Mall with thousands of green products at a very competitive price.

Before you know the Holidays will be knocking at your door. Get everything you need saving money and time. Avoid waiting outside the store at 4:00 am waiting for them to open while you freeze outside. Forget about the mess, the crowd, the long lines and the stress.

Holiday Shopping Season

Cyber Black Friday refers to online retailer's Black Friday promotions. Is the online retail equivalent to Black Friday without long lines!

Cyber Monday refers to the Monday immediately following Black Friday for consumers, who were too busy to shop over the Thanksgiving weekend or did not find what they were looking for, they shop online that Monday from home or work finding great bargains. Cyber Monday is becoming quickly one of the busiest shopping days of the year.

During the last 2 years I have saved my mental sanity by purchasing everything in my shopping list from home. It is easier to find the product you are looking for without walking miles in a crowded mall just to find out that the item you want is sold out and now you have to drive to the closest mall to get it. Plus shopping online allows you to stay warm and cozy at home avoiding parking issues and long lines. Plus you can save on the State Tax when you buy from online retailers or retailers that do not have brick and mortar in your State.

I have discovered an amazing shopping portal that has links to over 2,300 retails and close to 20,000 green products that pays you cash back for anyone using those links to get to the retailer they are looking for. This site has an Advance search technology that search among all the retailers for the best price and you can compare in one sites the sales price of an specific product.

Besides that this site has merged with a giant online retailer that has over one million products at a discounted price. Also paying commissions on every purchase!

Thinking about shopping online?

If you are thinking about shopping online for the items you need on a daily basis, you're not alone! According to the U.S. department of commerce, U.S. online retail reached $175 billion in 2007 and is projected to grow by $335 by year 2012. E-commerce clearly continues to thrive, even when traditional consumer spending is off at brick-and-mortar shops.

Business to consumer, or better know as E-commerce continues its double digit year-over-year growth, in part because sales are shifting away from stores and in part because online shoppers are more confident with the whole process of buying online.

Today more than ever online store-owners are busier than ever meeting the demand of a maturing market. "Almost any transaction you can think of can now be done online -from consumers paying their utility bills and people buying books, movies and clothes, to major corporations paying their vendors and selling to their customers." ~ Secretary of Commerce Gary Locke

There are some trends that marked years 2008 and 2009 regarding E-commerce and will certainly will continue to do so in 2010:
  • Social media marketing has been the new way to advertise for retailers.
  • Price comparison sites.
  • Ebay went through big changes in 2008 allowing small retailers to increase sales.
  • Many retailers offer free shipping, attracting more consumers to their online store.
  • Customer reviews have helped consumers make a decision towards their purchase with the addition of videos, pictures and 360 views.
  • Affiliate marketing increases traffic to the retailer's website.
  • International sales are increasing day by day.
After all, online shopping is fast and convenient, opening a new world of merchandise and services for families and businesses!

Top 10 Reasons to Shop Online

There are great benefits involved with shopping online and I wanted to share with you the top 10 reason why you and any household or business owner should shop online:

1. Shopping is a necessity in our lives and we constantly look for the cheapest prices. We use coupons and buy from clearance. When shopping online from your website you can use online coupon codes plus you will earn an additional 3%-40% cash back.

2. Tax Benefits: Besides that you can shop in many Tax-Free sites, the best tax bonus is that the IRS considers the money you earn from your shopping as NON TAXABLE because it is categorized as REBATES! If the write-offs don't pay back your investment, your shopping will.

3. Life Benefits: When you shop online you soon will see that you can use the time saved to improve yourself, to read more, to study more, to spend more time with the people you love.

4. You will cut your actual shopping time by 75%. There are items that we purchase over and over such as paper towels, toilet paper, paper plates, soap, laundry items, toiletries, cleaners, diapers, makeup, hair care. These are the perfect items to purchase online, order everything in less than 10 minutes and it will be delivered to your front door.

5. Instead of spending hours each month on the entire shopping process of getting ready, driving, shopping, checkout lines, loading/unloading, now you can do it in half an hour in the the privacy of your own home with a glass of wine. Then you only have to wait for its arrival to put it away.

6. Save the rebate money you earn for something special - a night out , a brand new TV or even a vacation. The savings adds up and the more you or anyone else shops from your website, the more you will earn.

7. Real life money saving: Did you know that many items are cheaper online than at the brick and mortar store? That you can save the State Tax by shopping tax-free retailers? That you can find the same product at a much lower price in some websites you have no idea they exist? That you can compare instantly the price and cash back you will receive for a specific product?

8. There are great shopping portals where you can sign up for free. They set it up and provides all the maintenance, updates and 24/7 support you need. They  track all your purchases for you.

9. You can shop online in most of the biggest names in retail such Macys, Sports Authority, GAP, Banana Republic, Target, Office Depot, Walmart, Expedia, Budget Rent-A-Car, Marriott, Six Flags, Shutterfly, Sears, Skype, Nautica, Adidas, Aeropostale, PETCO.

10. Nowadays you can fin thousands of eco-friendly products online. Many of them you can't find at your regular grocery store.
