Brick and mortar shopping can be a rewarding experience for some, for me it is a torture. Starting with the fact of sitting in a hot car in sunny Florida to go to the store. In the past every week I had to drive 3-4 miles to my closest Walmart to buy what every household needs to survive: toiletries, cosmetics, cleaning products, vitamins, pharmaceuticals, skin care products and more. Mostly everyone has been in Walmart at least once, the stores are huge! By the time you got all the every day items and all the food, probably a good hour and a half past. Now is time to make the line to pay, this can last between 20-30 minutes. Why? Everybody buys more than what they need so it takes a while to finish with each customer. Of course, you might want to think twice if you want to buy ice cream, the chances are it will melt before you get home.You can add to that I had my 2 girls wanting to get out of the car, screaming got a snack, milk, a toy or anything that shined in their way.
Today, my life is easier. People ask me how can I do all the things I do with 3 kids and no cleaning lady? The answer is simple. Online shopping can save you countless hours of pain and suffering, and yes, it can also save you hundreds of dollars by avoiding impulse purchases, trips to the store at a ridiculous $3.98 a gallon, and adding things to your cart you don't need but they placed it right in your face at the store.
In a mater of 5 minutes I order all our household products, as there are sites that have all your information saved and a favorites list. Paying takes less than 1 minutes and there is no filling up the shopping cart, then empty the cart to pay, then filling it up again with the paid items just to know you have to empty it again in your car and then bring everything home! 3-5 business days and when I come back from picking up the girls from school my box is right at my door with all the things I need.
But the best part is that you can find online better deals than what you can get at Walmart, but you need to find the right websites with the right products. For example, I get super-concentrated cleaning products that last longer, that are easier to store as they are so much smaller in size and at the end they cost lest per ounce or per use all in one place. This website that has it all: supplements, over the counter medicines, healthy snacks, bath and body products, cosmetics and cleaning products all of a better quality and without the cheap synthetics that large corporations add to their products. And this site has links to many other popular sites such as Office Depot, Apple Store, Babies R Us, Travelocity, Hotels.com and more. So when I go to these sites clicking on those links I get a rebate check in a couple of weeks just for a couple of extra clicks!!
This way I order not only household products, I also get electronics, clothes, shoes, toys and presents delivered to my door with a rebate every single time up to 15% of the purchase price!
So today while I was writing this post drinking a nice cup of coffee and watching my baby sleep next to me, the UPS guy knocked on my door to deliver a box that had beeswax candles, organic popcorn, a weight control blueberry shake, an air freshener, nail polish and tea. And I know that tomorrow the toilet paper and paper towels that I ordered from Office Depot with a 3% rebate will show up too.
